Lenovo Legion 2 Pro 5G: Overview
Lenovo has unleashed the next-gen mobile gaming powerhouse with the Lenovo Legion 2 Pro. The Legion 2 Pro is the world’s first smartphone with integrated Twin Turbo-Fan Cooling and intuitive Octa-Trigger Control keys. The Lenovo Legion 2 Pro is a beast in every way – the phone sports a large 6.92-inch screen, houses two batteries, two USB-C ports, and two spinning cooling fans.
The gaming phones system architecture was specifically designed on horizontal gaming usage bringing you the best of gamer-focused design and immersive experiences. The Legion 2 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC, up to 18GB DDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. The dual cell battery with a total capacity of 5500mAh is charged using two USB Type-C ports.
On the front, the Legion 2 Pro features a 6.92 inches E4 AMOLED display with 144Hz high refresh rate, 720Hz touch sampling rate, and a 3.8ms response time. Its maximum brightness is 1300 nits with HDR10+ support. The Legion Phone 2 Pro (called Legion Phone Duel 2 outside China) packs a 5nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor with a maximum burst frequency of 2.84GHz.
The chipset is paired with an Adreno 660 GPU and DDR5 memory. The gaming phone comes with up to 18 GB of RAM + 512 GB of internal storage. In this case, you will be able to store all your songs, videos, games and more on the phone without worrying about space constraints.
For the cameras, the Legion Phone 2 Pro has a 64 megapixel OmniVision flagship OV64A image sensor and a secondary ultra wide-angle lens with 16 megapixel and 123° field-of-view. The enhanced front-facing pop-up camera has been upgraded to a 44MP f/2.0 sensor with AI features giving streamers greater convenience and producing higher quality selfies compared to the Legion Pro.
The phone can record in 8K at 24 fps and 4K at 60fps. It can also record slow-motion videos in 1080p at 240fps and shoot in RAW format. In addition, the Lenovo Legion 2 Pro also has Audio Zoom.
Inside, the dual battery with 5,500mAh total capacity is 10 percent larger than the previous generation, supporting a maximum 90W charging and two conveniently placed USB Type-C ports mean charging cables won’t slow down gameplay. However, you get a 65W charger in the box which is still incredibly fast by today’s standard.
The Legion 2 Pro sports front-facing stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and a game mode that enhances the in-game sound experience. There are four microphones with noise reduction and a dual smart amplifier. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, dual 5G SIM and Bluetooth 5.2.
Special gaming features include Octa-Trigger in a ‘console controller-like’ array with Quad Ultrasonic Shoulder keys, Dual pressure touch buttons, Dual Capacitance keys input and Dual HaptiX with Dual X-Axis Haptic Vibration Linear Motors. The Lenovo Legion 2 Pro is running ZUI 12.5 based on Android 11.
