The year 2021 is going so far good for the Android manufacturers coming with remarkable devices and high-end innovations every day. Recent launch events by Samsung, Realme, and Xiaomi were a staple of high-end technology. We saw flagship foldables from Samsung, Gaming experience from ASUS, Magnetic charging for Android by Realme and much more. But where is Apple? Keeping past in mind, we know Apple makes announcements in last quarter of the year and so the time is almost upon us. As per leaks, Apple is to announce the all new iPhone 13 and we can get a new entry in the Apple watch series. Apple is going to announce the Apple watch 7 and we are very excited for its launch later on. Let’s dig into the specs watch series 7 has to offer.
The first display changes were made in the Apple series 4 and continued with the series 5, 6 and Apple watch SE. Apple watch series 7 will also feature the a bigger screen sign and display changes. According to chinese reporter Weibo, Apple watch series 7 will feature flat design and will be available in 41mm and 45mm variants which is bigger than series 6 display of 40mm. Mark Gurman from Bloomberg reported that we will see thinner bezels and slightly thicker size on apple watch series 7 and the new lamination used by the company that would raise the watch display closer to top level.
Moving to internals and software, Series 7 will feature the WatchOs 8 software that was announced in June this year at WWDC. The main thing we are excited for is the battery upgrade. One major complaint that Apple has faced over the time is poor battery performance of the watches as compared to rivals. Finally, the rumors suggest that series 7 will be game changer in terms of battery life is seeking to replace the previous battery that offered up to 18-hour support with a double-sided S7 chip, a bigger battery offering a one-day battery support. Apple watch Series 7Â introduce new and advanced fitness-oriented features such as better sleep tracking, Glucose sensor (which has mixed intel to be included), ‘Time to Run’ feature and Audio Meditations joining the ‘Time to Walk’ feature as well.
Very little is known about the Apple series watch 7 so far and for the price tag we are expecting it to be around the price of series 6 watch. Apple’s previous three Watch models launched with a $399 or 599 AUD price tag, going up for the larger size and variants. While we haven’t heard any credible rumors about the cost of the Apple Watch 7, we would expect Apple to go with the same flow and launch watch 6 at same price tag as there are no major internal or software changes but we have to wait for it so let’s hope for the best.
