Motorola is surely hitting back in the Android market once again by introducing some quality and value to money smart devices. Motorola is looking to compete in a more affordable mid-range segment. Last month, Motorola introduced its Edge 20 series with Edge 20 and Motorola Edge 20 Pro variants at decent prices. In Australia, Motorola is looking to get a grip of the market and is looking to introduce a complete Edge 20 series including a third variant Edge 20 Fusion. Today we will be having a look at the Pro version of Motorola Edge 20 and dissect what it has to offer.

Out of the box, Motorola Edge 20 Pro is a slimmer device in thickness measuring at just 7mm making its handling much easier. The camera setup at the backs adds extra 3mm but still, the device is quite light weight weighing 185g. The screen features a 6.7 inches OLED display with HDR10+ support and a resolution at 1800×2400 pixels. The main selling point is the 144Hz screen refresh rate for smooth display experience. The device is protected with Gorilla glass 5 on front with a glass or eco leather back design and comes with water resistance design.

Moving to internal specifications, Motorola Edge 20 Pro runs on Android 11 with updates to be provided by the company till Android 13. The chipset used is more powerful than that used in Edge 20 and comes with the Snapdragon 870 with 5G support. Motorola Edge 20 Pro features just one storage variant 12/256 GB. It also support NFC system. The finger print sensor has been moved to side to make it more efficient and powerful. We also get an easy wireless connection to other devices at home with ‘Ready For Platform’

At the back, we get a triple camera setup. The main camera is set at 108MP with an 8MP periscope telephoto lens and a 16MP ultra wide camera sensor. The camera setup provided is quite powerful and provides panorama and HDR image support with crisp quality. The battery department come’s a quite good but not super capacity of 4500mAh and a fast charging support of 30W with a USB-C charging cable. It will be available in Midnight Blue, Vegan leather, and Iridescent Cloud colors.

The device was announced back in July and will be available for sale worldwide from first week of September. The Motorola Edge 20 Pro is retailed in Australia at 899 AUD. You can yours online through JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, The Good Guys, Mobileciti, Motorola, Kogan, and Lenovo online.
