Asus ROG Phone 5s
2021 has been a great showcasing year so far for every mobile manufacturer, launching astonishing devices one after another. Asus is also kicking in providing decent smartphones and making them known in the industry especially here in Australia. In Australia, we had a high-end processing Asus ROG smartphone whose main feature was providing high-end gaming performance to its users. We now get another entry in the ROG series, which is ROG Phone 5s that is quite powerful. Let’s have a look at what ROG 5s has to offer out of the box.
We all can agree that Asus major focus is on performance and gaming, so as a result we can see the powerful chipset embedded in ROG phones 5s coming at 5nm Snapdragon 888+ G where the tag ‘G’ means to provide stands for an optimized experience and a smooth processor performance. Storage option starts at 8GB Ram and 128 GB storage capacity in base variant while other variants include 12GB/128GB, 12GB/256GB, and 16/256GB storage. ROG phone 5s runs on Android 11 with the ROG UI latest version. The display size for ROG 5s is a 6.7 inch super AMOLED display with 1080×2400 resolutions and 20:9 aspect ratios. The display features a 144Hz refresh rate for smooth user interface along with 1200 nits’ peak brightness and powerful gorilla glass victus protection.
The camera department of ROG phone 5s is also pretty decent. ROG phone 5s comes with 24MP front camera which helps to capture sharp selfies. The back consists of three different camera setup. The main camera stands at 64MP setup. Apart from this we have a 13MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera sensor. The camera features the Gyro-EIS technology that provides image stabilization by detecting the shaking of the lens and provides you with perfect images.
The battery offered is packed with a huge Li-Po 6000mAh battery and it supports 65W fast charging as well. As advertised, you can get 0-70% charge in 30 minutes and full charge in 52 minutes. Apart from this ROG 5s also support 10W reverse charge and quick charge 5.0. Other highlights of the device include a RGB light panel on the back with pressure sensitive zones also known as ‘gaming triggers’ for optimal gaming experience.
The device was launched on 16th August and as per report, would be ready for shipment worldwide in the last quarter of this year. Since the device isn’t out yet, we cannot determine exact price tag as of yet but our guess is that it would be above $1700. We will be looking forward for the performance ROG phones 5s has to offer.
