Fossil 6th Generation Smart Watch Price and Specs
The recently launched Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 has been a huge talk of the town with great buzz within the industry for being a well-designed watch as well as being the first smart-watch infused with latest version of ‘Wear OS’, a latest operating system co-powered by Google and Samsung. Since the smart-watch segment is a two-horse race only and we don’t see many brands competing but there is one prodigy that is worth mentioning, ‘Fossil’. As per new leaks, Fossil is going to launch it latest 6th generation smart watches powered by Snapdragon Wear 4100.
Although there has been no official specs sheet or internals available, but we have so much to discuss thanks to the leaks by WinFuture.de. In a recent article by WinFuture, they have released some images of the upcoming 6th generation smart watches along with some internals which are quite decent.
As per leaks, the new Fossil 6th generation smart watches would be equipped with the next-gen Snapdragon 4100 chipset that features a 1.7GHz ARM Cortex-A53 quad-core CPU and Adreno A504 graphics that adds to the performance of the device. On top of that, it also comes with the new WearOs, hence packing a double performance upgrade. On data sheet, Snapdragon 4100 is 28% faster than the previous 3100 chipset. The storage department comes with 1GB ram and 8GB space which is quite decent space for apps to set and perform.
The design on the Fossil’s 6th generation watches is quite similar to their classic pattern. Moving towards their display, it has a 1.28 inches OLED display screen which has a resolution of 416×416 megapixels. The smart watch has three dedicated buttons with a central crown on its right edge as trademark. The wristbands fabric is not known as of yet and can be leather, metal, or fabric.
The smart watches would be available in two different variant, a 42mm dial and a 44mm dial. The device also carries interesting features that are staple for any smart device such as GPS, radio, heart-rate monitor, and a SpO2 sensor which works with the heart sensor. The device also supports fast charging. As per advertised by the company, fast charging will the watch 80% of its full battery capacity in 30 minutes. The battery life would feature a 24 hours’ time followed by an energy-saving mode that can extend battery life up to a day with limited functionality.
The device would be available for sale on 27th September in Germany followed by sales in USA and UK shortly. The price tag of the upcoming watches are set at somewhere between 300 to 330 Euro that is equivalent to $350-375 or 489-530 AUD.
