Technology is changing day-by-day and getting more advanced that we are seeing new innovations with each passing day. Smartphone manufacturers are presenting pop-up camera modules, foldable screens, decreased screen bezels, and air charging. Oppo has teased it next generation smartphone with under-display camera technology.

Although the technology isn’t being introduced for the first time as the Chinese based smartphone company ZTE launched the first ever device ZTE Axon 30 with the under-display camera technology that is china exclusive and released today and is set to be released worldwide in September this year.

In 2019, Oppo first launched their under-display camera technology demo back in 2019 in MWC shanghai and it was quite a success but since then, there have been no updates about the product or any sort of advancement in its official release but today, we get to see a teaser tweet from Oppo China CEO, Liu Bo Bobee that the company is officially releasing their under-display camera tomorrow i.e, 4th of August. The teaser by Oppo explains that they are launching their next generation under display camera technology that would be different from the demo model launched in 2019. The company also added that they never stopped to explore new horizons. Oppo would be working on the immersive display experience and as per hints, will also introduce perspective panoramic screen that is a combination of three different technologies. The company added that they will introduce rest of the details tomorrow and that the work has been in progress for over two years. We may be seeing advanced version of demoed prototype along with some cool technology features for upcoming smartphones from Oppo.

Since the complete spec sheet is unavailable for what might Oppo surprise us with but we might have some information based upon reports. As per reports, Oppo has used a custom along with a custom sensor to adjust their new technology. Further, they have also optimised their existing algorithms related to performance and camera technology. The improved algorithms include camera performance including white balance, HDR, Ai defogging, and image stability. For more detail, we have to wait for official launch tomorrow.

August is pretty exciting month for smartphones and tech geeks as we are to be surprised with some great innovations this month. Honor, a sub-brand of Huawei is launching their new series of flagship devices with in-display camera whose announcement is to be made later this month with release later this year. Samsung is introducing in all new Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip 3 in their Unpacked Event on August 11th. Xiaomi and Realme are to release their Mi Mix 4 and MagDart also later this month.
